Jasleen was born and mostly raised in Houston, Texas, but moved to West Texas just before she started high school. She graduated from high school in El Paso and ventured to Austin for the first time to attend the University of Texas at Austin where she received a Bachelor of Journalism and Bachelor of Arts in Plan II. She immediately fell in love with Austin and the Central Texas area and developed an interest in the law while in college. She attended St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio and returned to Austin after she graduated. She began her legal career practicing immigration law and healthcare litigation, where she represented medical providers. She broadened her practice to civil trial law and insurance defense when she joined BAJB in 2025.
She fills any spare time with cooking and baking, as well as spending time with friends and family trying new restaurants in Austin. She enjoys listening to Beyoncé, playing tennis, watching European soccer, traveling, reading, and keeping apprised of pop-culture trends.
