Sarah was born in Boston but her Texas roots go back five generations, to 1846, when her great-great grandfather Robert Henry Guinn began practicing law in Cherokee County. Sarah graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas School of Law. She is a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. Sarah has wide ranging experience in the areas of insurance defense, eminent domain, employment law and civil rights litigation for corporate and governmental clients. She is also approved by the Travis County District Court as a Court-Appointed Family Lawyer, representing children and indigent parents in Child Protective Services cases, an area of practice which fulfills her goal of serving the community.
Sarah is a member of the CAFA section of the Austin Bar Association, a member of the Travis County Women Lawyers Association, and has been admitted to the bar of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Sarah is also a member of the Western Hills Athletic Club Masters, where she swims as often as possible.
